Kagoshima Washington Hotel Plaza

I lost my purse with my money and all my cards. Takahashi san at the front desk gave me money to get the bus to the airport and the train when I get to my hometown.

Staff was so friendly and nice. View of Sakurajima was amazing.

Easy access to city

Nice view, good price for location, comfortable.

The location first of all is away from Kagoshima. I chose this hotel because it is along the more popular shopping street, albeit far from JR Kagoshima station. So, either you take cab, or you could take the local tram which has a stop near walking distance to the hotel. Room wise is ok; just that it only allows check in at 4pm; which is rather late; so, we actually walk around the neighboring area to while away time. And because it is NYE, we have to scramble to find for food for dinner as their only dinner place on the upper floor is fully booked. Other than that, staff is not conversant in English and so often times have to depend on translation device; but I understand they or most of them try which I appreciate. So do be patient if you do not speak any Japanese and chose this hotel.
